Being a good few years behind the times, I've finally got myself an iPod and endeavour to start listening to music properly again. I've joined the cool kids with a Last FM account which some of you relevant persons may want to take note of for future derision purposes.

Currently all our CDs are in boxes and I've managed to get through one whole box. Much like Sesame Street, today's letter is the letter M. It takes so long that I imagine this'll be the case for the coming week. I am quite overwhelmed by the amount I have to get through, both uploading and listening.


In other news, evil agent bloke might actually also be our landlord. Quite problematic in practice but more ammo for me when I complain to Trading Standards. Current days of my email being ignored: 11. Chasing emails sent: 3. Imaginary arguments had: 349.

Ugh. Moved yesterday. Arrived to find all the old furniture still there and this resulted in a big squabble with our new managing agents. Not a good start. Pete got threatened and everything!

We're about to be without internet for 2 weeks+ so I'm at work today for the first time in a while and have to get everything done online within half a day because I'm not back again until next Monday.

Christmas was mostly fabulous. Half of the day was spent with Pete's lot (whose differences had been resolved) and the other half was spent at home, packing and cooking. I made everything from scratch, including Yorkshire puddings, which were amazing even after the initial fire they started.

I saw my sister and my nephew from Boxing Day onwards and it was generally lovely. Wench, Pete, Michelle and I banded together to create turducken together and it was a surprisingly enjoyable, although tough, experience. Kai is growing up to be fantastic little bugger who says things like "let's jig out!". My brother is a complete cock who made Wench cry and had I been there at the time I probably would've spazzed at him. Little fuck is just like his father and Michelle said that he was so aggressive she was scared to say anything. No apology has been forthcoming to them both so far.

Tonight we are unpacking, drinking, ordering a Chinese food feast and watching the Big Fat Quiz of the Year. I'm looking forward to it. We need to win back the cats' love as they didn't enjoy the move at all and don't understand, despite our assurances, that they will love it once we're settled in.
